Israeli military construction equipment caused great destruction by digging trenches more than 3 meters deep in Tulkerim’s main streets.
Violent Destruction and Hatred
Ala Shamil, a resident of the Nur Shams Refugee Camp, stated that Israel carried out an indescribable amount of destruction in the camp for 12 hours. Şamil said, “We witnessed that there was not a street left unexcavated, not a house or shop left undestroyed in the Nur Şems Refugee Camp. This situation indicates great hatred.”
Umm Sadeq, a Palestinian woman whose house was severely damaged in the Al-Menshiyeh Neighborhood, said, “We were shocked when the bulldozer entered our house. It destroyed the entrance to our house and the balcony.” Sadeq said that Israeli forces had dug up the streets of the camp, making it impossible to walk.
Gazi Abu Libde, whose house was partially destroyed, said that Israeli bulldozers destroyed parts of the houses without any warning and then moved on to the neighbors’ houses. Abu Libde emphasized that the camp had become uninhabitable and that this raid was the most severe destruction.
Intense Raid and Gunfire
The Israeli army raided the city of Tulkerim and the refugee camps from various directions, using tear gas against the Palestinians, and positioned its snipers on the roofs of some buildings. While reconnaissance planes flew over the city at low altitude, explosions were heard among the intense gunfire inside the camp.
While videos showing the massive destruction caused by Israeli bulldozers were shared on social media platforms, activists released a video showing the moment an Israeli military bulldozer exploded.
