According to the newspaper, the Haredi party in the Israeli parliament sent an important letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu. The letter emphasized that a prisoner exchange agreement should be made with Hamas. The Haredi party called on Netanyahu not to be afraid of those who oppose the agreement within the coalition. It also argued that Israel’s operations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank ensure the security of the country and that these operations could pave the way for a prisoner exchange agreement.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also claimed today that Prime Minister Netanyahu is obstructing efforts to reach a prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas. According to Gallant, the conditions for the agreement are ripe, but Netanyahu has increased the obstacles to the agreement because he is afraid of losing coalition members Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.

It is stated that Netanyahu’s visit to the US could contribute to the prisoner swap agreement. According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Netanyahu is expected to visit Washington on July 21. As part of the visit, he is scheduled to meet with US President Joe Biden and speak in front of the US Congress.
