Ministry Statement
The Ministry made a written statement regarding Israel’s attacks targeting the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital in Gaza. The statement said, “The photograph published in the Palestinian press showing a group of Israeli soldiers in front of the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital in Gaza is new evidence of Israel’s violations of international law and international humanitarian law.”It was said.
It was also emphasized that the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital is the only center providing services to cancer patients in Gaza, “The damage to the hospital by Israeli forces and its use as a military base are part of Israel’s systematic policies aimed at destroying the Palestinian people.”statements were given.
The statement said that Turkey will continue to make efforts to ensure that those responsible for these attacks are held accountable before international courts.
Hamas’ armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched a massive attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. According to Israel, 1,200 Israelis were killed and 5,132 were injured in the attacks. At least 38,664 Palestinians were killed and 89,097 were injured in the Gaza Strip. According to the Israeli army, 682 soldiers were killed. During the “humanitarian pause” in the conflicts, 81 Israelis and 240 Palestinian prisoners were released.
