Israeli forces’ ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip are increasing in the southern city of Khan Younis. According to a statement on the Telegram account of Al-Aqsa television, the Israeli army is targeting villages and towns east of the city with warplanes and artillery. In these attacks, 28 Palestinians were killed and many were injured. The injured and deceased Palestinians were taken to nearby hospitals.
The Israeli army also targeted residential areas in the Tel al-Sultan and Saud neighborhoods west of Rafah. These attacks resulted in thick smoke rising from the area. Israeli drones were seen flying heavily over the skies of Nusayrat Camp in the central Gaza Strip. Israeli forces also carried out airstrikes in northern Gaza.
The Gaza Health Ministry has issued an “urgent” call for blood donations for the wounded and sick at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee said on social media that an operation would be carried out in some areas previously declared as safe zones east of Khan Younis, Gaza. Adraee called on residents to evacuate the area, saying that Israel would launch an attack by narrowing down the area and that Palestinians should temporarily go to al-Mawassi.
