Israeli Army Raids Tulkerim Camp
The Israeli army launched a major raid on the Tulkerim refugee camp in the West Bank this morning. There were intense gunfights between Palestinians who resisted the raid and Israeli soldiers. In the first hours of the operation, the army laid siege to a house in the camp and deployed military vehicles in various neighborhoods.
Israeli military bulldozers destroyed streets, businesses and Palestinian vehicles inside the camp. Explosions and gunfire were heard at times in areas where fighting was intense. Witnesses reported that Israeli army drones bombed parts of the camp.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 3 Palestinians lost their lives when the Israeli army targeted a house in the Tulkerim Refugee Camp. According to the news of the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the names of the martyred Palestinians are as follows: 34-year-old Imad Teyser Shirim, 30 years old Muawiyah al-Hajj Ahmedand 30 years old Wasim Anbar.
Thus, the number of Palestinians who have lost their lives as a result of attacks by Israeli soldiers and settlers in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem since October 7, 2023 has risen to 640.
