Israeli Army’s Large-Scale Operation in the West Bank
According to news broadcast on Israeli state television, KAN, the Israeli army has launched a “large-scale operation” in the northern West Bank. In this operation, Israeli security forces took action simultaneously in the cities of Jenin and Tulkerim. The report reported that combat helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were also launched to support the Ground Forces.
The Israeli army raided the Al-Faria Camp near the city of Tubas in the northern West Bank, the city of Qalqilya and several other towns. The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that five people were martyred and eight were injured in the attack on the Al-Faria Camp. In another statement, the ministry reported that two people were martyred and three were injured in the raid in the city of Jenin.
According to the official Palestinian agency WAFA, the Israeli army entered the city of Jenin with a large number of armored vehicles and positioned themselves near the Ibn Sina Hospital. In addition, a drone attack was carried out on a vehicle south of Jenin, in which the bodies of three people were reportedly found.
Israeli forces entered Tulkerim from the west and raided hospitals in the city, laying siege to the city. Israeli soldiers prevented the ambulances from operating and searched some of them. A drone attack was carried out on the Nur Shams Camp in Tulkerim. It was learned that there were wounded after the attack, but the ambulances could not enter the scene due to Israel’s siege of the area.
The Israeli army also raided the Faria Camp in the northern West Bank city of Tubas. It was reported that Israeli army drones were flying intensively in the area. Palestinian Red Crescent teams reported that they were having difficulty reaching the wounded due to Israeli barriers.
