Israel Calls for Massacre in West Bank
More than 40,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in Gaza as a result of attacks that have been ongoing for more than 10 months. Taking advantage of this situation, Israeli government officials have now begun openly calling for a similar massacre in the West Bank. According to the Israeli Broadcasting Council (KAN), in a meeting with representatives of illegal Jewish settlers in the West Bank the other day, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz stated that Jenin Camp, which the Israeli army frequently raids, should be treated like Gaza.
Katz emphasized at the meeting that the Jenin Camp should be completely depopulated, saying, “The Jenin Camp is a nest of evil that is not under the control of the Palestinian government, but rather under the influence of Iran. We should treat it the same “way we treat Gaza,” clearly expressing their intention to carry out a massacre.
Violent Clashes in Nablus and Jenin
On the other hand, intense resistance is observed against the occupation forces in Jenin and Nablus, where the Israeli army has carried out raids. According to information provided by Al Jazeera based on its sources in the region, the Israeli army, which carried out raids in Nablus and Jenin as well as in Qalqaliya yesterday, detained 225 more Palestinians. Since launching its attack on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the occupation army has increased its raids in the West Bank, causing the deaths of at least 142 Palestinians in 70 raids in the Jenin Camp.
It is reported that the total number of Palestinians killed by the occupation army in the region since October 7 exceeds 540, and the number of Palestinians injured exceeds 5,400. It has also been stated that 10,000 Palestinians were arrested by the occupation forces during this period.
