According to Israeli army radio, the Israeli army has presented possible scenarios against Hezbollah to the government, including more violent military action. An Israeli official said they wanted to harm Hezbollah but did not want to start a regional war.

According to Israeli state television, KAN, a security cabinet meeting was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi also held meetings on the response to Hezbollah.

A rocket attack on the town of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights killed 12 people and injured 35. The Israeli army said the rocket was fired from Lebanon and attributed responsibility to Lebanese Hezbollah. However, Hezbollah denied the investigation.
