Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar made important statements about developments and investments in Turkey’s energy sector in a television program he watched.
New Natural Gas Ship on the Way!
Minister Bayraktar gave information about the new natural gas ship, the good news of which was given by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and said, “It is coming at the beginning of next week.”
New Discoveries in the Black Sea
Bayraktar, who also touched on the energy potential in the Black Sea, said, “We discovered a new location off the coast of Rize. We will continue to make new discoveries and drillings.”
Bayraktar also drew attention to Turkey’s natural gas and oil needs, saying, “Our country needs 2 million barrels of natural gas and oil. We only meet 1/8 of this need. First, we will evaluate the gas reserves in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. Then it will be the Aegean’s turn.”

- The new natural gas ship will arrive in our country at the beginning of the week.
- A new discovery has been made off the coast of Rize and new drilling is planned.

- There is a daily production target of 100 thousand barrels in Gabar. Daily production reached in 40 wells has increased to 45 thousand barrels.
- Concessions and licenses were obtained from Somalia in three sea areas.
