President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave important messages in his speech at the Police Academy graduation ceremony. In his speech at the ceremony, he emphasized that state service should be carried out within the framework of law.

  • You Cannot Exceed the Law:“The state cannot be served by going beyond the law. Order in society cannot be established by circumventing the law. Public officials, regardless of their position, are bound by the Constitution and laws. Their duties and authorities are limited by legislation. There is and cannot be any exception to this.”
  • Bureaucratic Guardianship in the Past:“When our citizens look at the law enforcement forces, they want to see not only the effective power of the public authority but also the state of law. In the past, our country suffered greatly from the bureaucratic tutelage that considered itself above the law and laws.”
  • We Will Not Deviate from the Rule of Law:“Whatever we do, we will do it within the law, we will never deviate from the rule of law. You are the police of the Republic of Turkey, not of any group, faction or ideology.”

President Erdoğan’s speech emphasized that civil service should be performed in accordance with the law and the law, and that security units should protect the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
