The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Afghan Interim Government has issued an important announcement to Afghan citizens living abroad, stating that 14 Afghan embassies and consulates, mostly in Europe, are not cooperating with the central government.

The statement noted that the interim government was working to facilitate the affairs of Afghan citizens living abroad and had repeatedly warned Afghan representatives, especially in European countries, to cooperate with the central government.

In this context, it was stated that the transactions carried out in the Afghan embassies and consulates in London, Berlin, Bonn, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy, Greece, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Canada and Australia, which are said to not cooperate with the Kabul administration, will not be approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant units.

The statement called on Afghan citizens and foreigners to visit Afghan missions in other countries for consular procedures.

With the change of administration in Afghanistan on August 15, 2021, some countries did not accept representatives of the new Afghan administration to work in Afghan missions in their countries.
