IHH Sends Aid Trucks Off to Sudan
IHH Konya Branch Manager Halil Ibrahim Kilic, made important statements at the farewell ceremony in front of the Seljuk representative office of the association. Kılıç emphasized that the civil war in Sudan has been going on for more than a year and revealed the difficult situation the country is in.
Kılıç said the number of people in need of assistance in Sudan, Exceeded 25 million, 14 million of whom are childrenHe stated that this situation clearly reveals the extent of the humanitarian crisis in the region. Nearly 18 million people in Sudan face food insecurityStating that the lack of security, looting incidents, bureaucratic obstacles, fuel shortages and network problems have made it very difficult for humanitarian aid to reach the region.
Despite all these difficulties, as IHH, we continue to provide humanitarian aid in Sudan. They have continued uninterruptedly since April 15, 2023.Expressing that this aid is important, Kılıç said that the aid provided is a glimmer of hope for the Sudanese people.
After the speech, relief supplies were loaded 4 trucks, was sent off with prayers. Stating that great care was taken to deliver this aid to those in need in Sudan, Kılıç thanked everyone who supported him.
