Issam Nebhan, director of nursing services at the Indonesian Hospital, told AA that the amount of fuel remaining at the hospital was not enough to operate the generators and oxygen stations needed in the operating rooms. Noting that they were having difficulty accessing the necessary medicine and basic medical supplies, Nebhan said that health services were in a “catastrophic” state, especially after the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City went out of service and patients and the wounded were transferred to the Indonesian Hospital. Recalling that the hospital had been bombed by the occupying Israelis in recent months, Nebhan stated that the hospital’s previously 140-bed capacity was destroyed and some parts were burned, so there were only 80 beds left today, and that there was no room left in the hospital, which was full of patients and wounded.
