As tensions rise in the region following the attack carried out by the terror state Israel on the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, this morning Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran, the capital of Iran, and was martyred. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made the statement, “We will make the occupying terrorists regret it,” and a 3-day mourning period was declared throughout the country.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated that they feel responsible for the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh, which took place in Iran, and that they are determined to take revenge on Israel for Haniyeh’s death.

A red flag symbolizing revenge was raised atop the Jamkaran Mosque in Qom, Iran. Iranian television channels broadcast the events live as the red flag was raised.
