AK Party Istanbul Deputy, TBMM Administrative Officer and Chairman of the Turkey-Palestine Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Hasan Turan, harshly criticized the intense applause that Zionist regime leader Netanyahu received in the US Congress.

Turan stated in his written statement that Netanyahu was applauded 79 times during his 56-minute speech in the US Congress. Assessing this situation as the first time in the history of the country that a US President has been applauded this much in Congress, Turan said, “It is not Netanyahu who is being applauded, it is the Zionists who commit genocide and massacre. US senators “who applauded genocide and massacre will carry this savagery for generations.”

Turan stated that according to the UN Women’s Report, Israel kills 2 mothers every hour in Gaza, massacres at least 16,175 children and 10,800 women, and a total of 39,175 Palestinians have lost their lives. She expressed her reaction by saying, “The standing ovation given to the speech of the bloodthirsty Gaza butcher Netanyahu has gone down as a black mark in US political history.”

Recalling Alija Izetbegovic’s words, “Never forget this, son. The West has never been civilized and its current prosperity is based on its ongoing colonialism, the blood it shed, the tears it shed and the pain it inflicted,” Turan said, “This “Is the West that supports the Zionist regime Applauding the murderer of 40 thousand people is being fully complicit in the crime.”

Turan emphasized that applauding Netanyahu, who is being tried for war crimes in the US, is a disgrace to humanity, and said, “The hands that applauded are dirty and bloody hands. The blood of babies, children, women and innocent civilians who were “massacred in Gaza and Rafah is on those hands.”

Turan thanked the 96 senators who did not attend the session to protest Netanyahu and Rashida Tlaib, who is of Palestinian origin and protested with a banner reading “war criminal,” and stated that being human is an important virtue.
