Hamas said in a written statement that the Israeli army continues to systematically destroy neighborhoods east of Khan Younis, emphasizing that it deliberately and directly targets civilians. The statement said that Israel is committing the crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing by indiscriminately bombing residential areas.
The statement called on the international community and the United Nations, stating that the world, which has failed to take deterrent steps, should not remain silent against Israel’s inhumane attacks in Khan Younis. It was emphasized that these attacks should be stopped and those responsible should be brought to justice in line with international law and the views of the International Court of Justice.
It was reported that 129 Palestinians were martyred, 416 were injured and 44 people were missing in the attacks carried out by Israel in the city of Khan Younis in the last 3 days. It was noted that the Israeli army continued its intense attacks on areas it previously claimed were “safe zones.”
