The program organized in Manisa to draw attention to the oppression in Gaza and East Turkestan and to support with prayers attracted great attention. The event, organized under the leadership of Manisa IHH Humanitarian Aid Association, was attended by many citizens as well as important figures such as Manisa Provincial Mufti Şükrü Kavukçu and Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Uğurelli.
The program was organized in the garden of the Sultan Mosque in cooperation with the Palestine Support Platform and the National Will Platform. The event, which started with the Hacivat and Karagöz play for children, was enlivened with the Quran recitations and melodies of Hafız Hodjas Ömer Faruk Altunağa, Ahmet Yüksel, Osman Bostancı, Furkan Tıraşcı and Cihat Nebioğlu. Additionally, the program progressed in an emotional atmosphere with the participation of melodic singer Kemal Faruk.
Manisa IHH Humanitarian Aid Association Provincial President Abdullah Oluk, in his speech, said, “We came together here today to be a part of the Islamic cause. We are here to condemn Israel’s cruel and merciless genocidal policies and to send our prayers to our brothers in Gaza and East Turkestan. We are here to express our voice.” We want to raise awareness and show that Gaza is not alone. We are aware that the issue is not limited to Gaza, but points to a global problem of injustice. “May God help our brothers in Gaza and East Turkestan.” he said.
