Group Recommendations were Discussed at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey General Assembly

In the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the group proposals of CHP, DEM Party, Saadet Party and İYİ Party regarding “forest fires” were rejected with the votes of AKP and MHP members. Former Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and AKP Kahramanmaraş Deputy Vahit Kirişci stated that they were against the CHP’s proposal and said, “We are a government that has brought together the seeds and saplings that will enable us to obtain 7 billion trees, which is our target , in the last 23 years since we took office in 2002.” .

Group Proposals Rejected

At the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly today, group proposals of the parties were discussed before the discussions on the Bill on Amendments to the Capital Markets Law, which envisages regulations regarding crypto assets. CHP, DEM Party, Saadet Party and İYİ Party brought separate group proposals regarding forest fires. However, as a result of the voting, the group proposals of all four parties were rejected by the votes of AKP and MHP MPs.

Former Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and Kahramanmaraş Deputy Vahit Kirişci, who opposed the CHP’s group proposal, reminded the Forest Law enacted in 2006 and defended the government’s work on forests. Kirişci stated that after the negotiations, the group proposal of the four parties was rejected.
