Free Jerusalem and Murderer Israel Texts Added to Traffic Signal System in Elazığ
Elazığ Municipality has added innovations to the city-wide traffic signal system, placing the words “Free Jerusalem” on green lights and “Murderer Israel” on red lights. This practice was implemented to draw citizens’ attention to Israel’s attacks on Gaza.
Citizen Feti Tuncer stated that this practice is extremely important in his statement to the Anadolu Agency correspondent. Tuncer said, “I think that such initiatives should be supported in order not to remain silent against Israel’s attacks in Gaza. It is essential that everyone expresses their reaction to this situation on every platform.”
Tuncer also stated that they support the municipality’s application and said, “We find it extremely positive that our municipality has placed the words ‘Murderer Israel’ and ‘Free Palestine’ on our lights. We want such applications to be more widespread.”
Another citizen, Mehmet Tahir Altungök, stated that this initiative of Elazığ Municipality was implemented in order to make people aware of the massacres carried out by Israel. Altungök said, “It was an appropriate step taken to raise people’s awareness of this genocide and not to let this situation be forgotten. I congratulate our municipality on this.”
