Fred: “I’m Happy in Fenerbahce”
Brazilian midfielder Fred answered questions from the press after training at Fenerbahçe, which continues its preparations for the new season in Austria. Fred said, “Everything is going very well. I am very happy to be at Fenerbahçe. Our pre-season training camp is going well, we started well. Pre-season is always difficult. We are continuing our work.”
Fred: “Turkish National Team Did Great Job”
Fred also made statements about the Turkish National Team’s performance at EURO 2020. “Every player on the Turkish National Team did a great job, they played tremendously. EURO is a tough tournament and they showed great passion. I also have to congratulate my teammates, they played very well,” said Fred, adding that they wanted Turkey to win.

Speaking about Fenerbahçe’s new coach Mourinho, Fred said, “Mourinho is a great guy and a great coach. He likes to joke around but when it comes time for work, he wants efficiency from everyone. Everyone is keen on this. You know our teammates, they always want to win.”
Fred: “Captain’s Band Feels Good”
Stating that it was a nice feeling to wear the captain’s armband, Fred said, “I like talking on the field, whether I’m a captain or not. If the team needs me, I’ll be there.”
Fred: “Last Season I Made a Little Contribution Due to Injuries”
Stating that he made a small contribution last season due to injuries, Fred said, “I missed about 15 matches due to injuries. This is the first time in my career that I have encountered such a situation. I feel better this year. Goals and assists are important, of course, but the most important thing for me is to win trophies and championships.”
