Heavy rainfall in the Susuz district of Kars caused serious flooding, especially in the village of Harmanlı in the district.
After the heavy rain, the stream passing through the village overflowed and filled the surrounding areas with water. As a result of the flood waters, some houses and barns were filled with water and these structures were seriously damaged.
Following the incident, local authorities quickly dispatched gendarmerie, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency), Provincial Special Administration and health teams to the region to assess the situation. The teams began working to reduce the effects of the flood and carry out the necessary interventions.
Provincial Special Administration teams are conducting damage assessment work in the village and collecting detailed information about the damaged structures. This process is of great importance both in terms of ensuring the safety of citizens and preventing similar incidents in the future.
