Fire in the Reed Area in Antalya
The fire, which started in a reed field in the Serik district of Antalya and spread to greenhouses and olive and citrus gardens, was brought under control thanks to rapid intervention. The fire broke out in the Aktepe location of Dikmen Neighborhood for an as yet unknown reason.
After citizens in the area reported the fire, the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and Forestry Operations Directorate teams were quickly dispatched. The fire, which grew due to the wind, spread to the surrounding olive and citrus groves and a greenhouse. However, thanks to the timely intervention of the fire department teams, the fire was extinguished before it caused greater damage.
In the fire, approx. 70 acres The land and the plastic tunnel tarps of a greenhouse were damaged. Farmers working at the scene Soner Yildiz , stated that the fire spread rapidly due to the effect of the wind. Yıldız stated that the teams intervened in a short time and prevented the fire from spreading to large greenhouses and added:

- If the fire had spread, it could have caused greater damage.
Yıldız emphasized that the necessary precautions should be taken to prevent such fires. After the fire, farmers in the region came together to assess the extent of the damage.
