The fire, which broke out in Sakran Ceza area of Bahcedere District, Aliağa district of Izmir, was successfully extinguished by air and land interventions. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
The fire, which broke out in a grassy area, was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center after the surrounding people noticed the smoke. Izmir Regional Directorate of Forestry teams and fire trucks belonging to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality were quickly dispatched to the region and took part in the fight against the fire.
The fire, which spread rapidly under the influence of the wind, was brought under control after 3 hours of intensive work as a result of land and air interventions. The teams started cooling efforts after the fire.
