Şenkaya district, which is among the natural beauties of Erzurum, hosted a colorful and enthusiastic event with the 17th Culture and Honey Festival held this year. The festival, held in the Şirankes picnic area, was filled with visitors from Şenkaya and surrounding districts.
The festival started with the opening speech of Şenkaya Mayor Görbil Özcan, followed by Şenkaya District Governor Abdullah Kurt and Erzurum Deputy Governor Mustafa Çelik Berk who addressed the participants and thanked those who contributed.
At the festival, the magnificent show of the Caucasian Rebels Dance Group was highly appreciated, while the Kars javelin team fascinated the audience with their horse-drawn javelin show. After the colorful shows of Şenkaya local bar team and Erzurum bar team, the participants had fun and danced halay at the event where local artists took the stage.
While barbecue, samovars and cağ kebab were being prepared in the festival area, guests from all over Turkey enjoyed the festival.
