Fenerbahçe faced off against Swiss team Lugano in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. The yellow-navy team defeated Lugano 2-1 in the return match played at home and advanced to the next round.

Fenerbahçe’s goals were scored by Edin Dzeko in the 59th minute and Szymanski in the 90+3rd minute, while Lugano’s goal came from Mahmoud in the 7th minute.
