Fire Creates Fearful Moments in Factory
A fire broke out as a result of the explosion of the boiler that dried the pomace in the factory. The fire that broke out as a result of the explosion quickly grew and caused moments of fear in the factory. Fire crews quickly intervened in the fire and arrived at the scene.
Teams affiliated with the Ayvalık Fire Department, within the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, made great efforts to bring the fire under control. As a result of intensive efforts, the fire was extinguished and the danger in the factory was prevented.
While an investigation was launched into the incident, it was alleged that the surrounding factories were damaging the environment by evaporating olive mill wastewater were also brought to the agenda. It was stated that there had been chimney fires in the pomace factory before and that they were extinguished with the timely intervention of the fire brigade.
