Incident: Explosion in Main Water Transmission Line
The incident took place on Kargı Street in Muğla’s Yahşi Neighborhood at around 23:00. The explosion in the main water supply line on the street caused great panic and flooding in the area.
Damages and Interventions
As a result of the explosion, a huge hole was formed on the street, and tons of water flowed down the drain. While the streets and avenues turned into a lake, the garden of a house was also filled with water due to the explosion. Upon notification, municipal teams were dispatched to the area for rapid intervention.
Traffic Regulations
Police teams who arrived at the scene closed the street to traffic for security purposes. Drivers continued to travel using alternative routes.
Repair Works
Teams quickly took action to repair the damage caused by the explosion and began repair work in the area. Teams continued working throughout the night to fix the flooding and road damage as quickly as possible.
