New Curriculum Statement from the Ministry of National Education
The Ministry of National Education (MEB), within the framework of the new curriculum, will offer primary and secondary school students an education program enriched with animation and drama studies, telling about the important figures of the provinces they live in. In this context, with the new curriculum it has prepared, MEB aims to build a national character above all ideologies. The aim is to create a social structure consisting of these figures and to raise individuals who are moral, virtuous, and beneficial to their nation and humanity.
With this educational program prepared for primary and secondary school students, the Ministry will introduce distinguished figures who are valued by the society in the region they live in and who can be role models in terms of values education.
Transferring People Who Informed the Society to Future Generations
Thanks to this “Important Figures” application, national and spiritual figures such as Şemsi Sivasi, Şeyh Şabani Veli, Seyit Onbaşı, Nene Hatun, Mevlana, Yunus Emre, who inform society, will be passed on to future generations. Within the scope of the application, local stories, tales and other narratives will be brought together with students; root values will be transferred to students through these narratives. Thus, the richness of the Turkish language will also be discovered.
In addition, joint story writing activities will be carried out regarding core values. These stories will first be written by students and teachers through drama and role-play activities and then staged. This process aims to ensure that students internalize these values.
