In the tragic incident that took place in Soğucak village of Muş, two brothers who were attacked by stray dogs were rescued with the help of people around them. 10-year-old Umut Üveys and 6-year-old Mehmet Salih Söylemez were injured in their face, arms and legs in the attack of the dogs. The children, who were taken to Muş State Hospital after the incident, were discharged after treatment.
Father İsmail Söylemez stated that he took his children to the hospital after the attack by stray dogs and said, “We want the stray dogs to be collected in shelters. Two of my children were attacked by dogs in front of my door. We want precautions to be taken against this.”
Mother Ayşe Gül Söylemez expressed the trauma her children experienced and said, “I am speaking on behalf of myself, I want all those dogs to be collected. I cannot send my children to school in winter, I am afraid to go myself. I really want the stray animals to be collected.”
Umut Üveys Söylemez, who was attacked by a dog, described his experiences as follows: “While I was playing in the garden with my brother, the dog suddenly came and attacked my brother. I went to protect him, and this time they attacked me too. I was very scared, so we want the dogs to be gathered. God protects us.”
