Recent developments in northwestern Syria have once again revealed that the terrorist organization feeds off chaos and instability. The organization is seen to be against dialogue and UN resolutions in Syria. The organization, which oppresses Arabs and Kurds in the region, has drawn reaction by arresting members of the Syrian Kurdish National Council.
Relations with Türkiye
It is understood that the PKK has not been able to achieve the desired results from the negotiations it has been conducting with Damascus ahead of the general elections planned for July 15 in Syria. The organization is in a panic and is concerned about Turkey’s rapprochement. Hasan Koçer, co-chair of the Executive Committee of the so-called Autonomous Administration, stated that economic, political and security problems can be solved with Damascus.
The “Syrian Democratic Council” and 33 political parties and organizations from the so-called Autonomous Administration region, to which the separatist organization is affiliated, claim that the normalization of relations between Turkey and Damascus is against the interests of the Syrian people.
Movements of the Organization
The separatist terrorist organization, which draws strength from the instability in Syria, is trying to increase its mobility by cooperating with other terrorist organizations. It is stated that the organization has not found the support it expected from the United States and that the developments with Turkey have been effective in this.
