Agreement between the Government of Pakistan and TLP
Following the Tehreek-i-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) party’s demonstrations in support of Gaza, the Pakistani government reached an agreement with representatives of the TLP. According to the agreement, the Pakistani government will officially recognize the Israeli Prime Minister as a “terrorist” and invite the international community to do the same.
Details of the Agreement
Under the agreement, the Pakistani government will increase its aid to Palestine and accelerate the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. In this context, more than 1,000 tons of food and medicine will be delivered by July 31. It was also decided to provide medical aid to the Palestinian people and send medical personnel to the region.
It was stated that the wounded in Palestine could be brought to Pakistan for treatment. It was emphasized that the schools and hospitals in the country were open to provide education and medical services to Palestinian students.
Attitude Towards Israel and Netanyahu
The Pakistani government has described Israel as a “terrorist state” and described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a war criminal under international law. The government, which has demanded that Netanyahu be tried, has also called on the international community to condemn Israel and recognize Netanyahu as a terrorist.
Corporate Boycott and the Aafia Siddiqui Affair
The Pakistani government has decided to boycott companies that financially support Israel’s attacks on Gaza. In this context, a committee has been formed to ban products of companies that aid or support Israel.
In addition, it was decided to increase efforts for the release of Aafia Siddiqui, who is detained in the USA as a result of the efforts of the TLP.
