In San Salvador, the capital of the Central American country of El Salvador, army personnel continue spraying as part of the fight against dengue fever cases transmitted by mosquitoes. According to warnings issued by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), it has been emphasized that epidemiological measures should be taken due to the increase in dengue cases. As of June, approximately 9.9 million suspected dengue cases have been detected in the region, while 3 people have lost their lives due to dengue fever in the past month.

Dengue fever is a viral infection transmitted by the bite of aedes mosquitoes. It manifests itself with symptoms such as high fever, headache, body aches, nausea and rash. In some cases, it is mild, while in others it can cause serious health problems. The disease is more common in tropical and subtropical regions.
