Deepfake and Artificial Intelligence: Legal Debates
With the rapid development of digital technologies in recent years, deepfakeand visual content produced with artificial intelligence has come to the fore. Discussions created by such digital products in the legal field are gaining importance, especially in terms of personal rights and copyrights. LawyerDr. Sertel Şıracı, an expert in Information Technology Law, provided important information on this subject and made the following assessments: “Imitating people’s images and creating video content with deepfake can primarily be considered a violation of personal rights.”

Dr. Şıracı also drew attention to the legal dimension of such content, “In Turkey, any disrespect towards the memory and name of Atatürk is evaluated within the scope of the Turkish Penal Code’s Law No. 5816 on ‘Crimes Committed Against Atatürk’,”He used the expressions.
