Addressing the citizens in front of the Malatya CHP Provincial Building, CHP Leader Özgür Özel stated that they alone received 38 percent of the votes in the local elections held on March 31, and that this was the most successful vote rate in the history of the Republic. .
Call for Help After the Earthquake
Stating that only 7 percent of the houses promised by the government were delivered after the earthquake disaster in 11 provinces, Özel emphasized that the state should provide more effective and rapid aid to earthquake victims. Reacting to the cutoff of rental assistance given to tenants, Özel demanded that this decision be withdrawn and rental assistance be continued until the houses are delivered.
Agriculture and Economy
Referring to Malatya’s apricot, which has an important place in agriculture, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated that apricot prices are insufficient despite the cost increases faced by farmers. He stated that the Soil Products Office should continue purchasing apricots. He also criticized the government’s economic programs and promised that they would support the people and solve all problems under the CHP government.
