The Chinese Ministry of Defense announced that the joint exercise called “Falcon Shield-2024” has started in East Turkestan in northwest China. The exercise between the air forces of the two countries will continue until the end of July.

The ministry statement stated that the aim of this exercise was to “deepen cooperation between the two armies and increase mutual understanding and trust.” The first joint air exercise between China and the UAE was held in August 2023 in East Turkestan under the name “Falcon Shield-2023.”
