The hunger crisis in Gaza unfortunately also affects innocent children. Hikmet Raad Ahmed Bedir, 6, lost his life due to hunger. His uncle Hikmet Bedir stated that they took the child to the Aqsa Martyrs Hospital to meet his food and medical needs, but unfortunately, there were no adequate treatment and nutrition opportunities.
Hikmet Bedir emphasized that not only children but also adults are struggling with hunger in Gaza and that there is a 100% hunger situation. Bedir asked the people of the world to extend a helping hand to Gaza and stated that urgent measures should be taken to prevent children from dying of hunger.
According to the statements made by the Gaza Government Media Office regarding the hunger situation in Gaza, it was reported that thousands of children in the region were facing starvation. In a statement made on June 3, it was stated that 3,500 children were at risk of starvation, while on June 17, it was stated that Israel and the US were using humanitarian aid as a political tool and deepening the hunger.
According to health sources, it was announced on June 22 that 44 children have died in Gaza since October 7 due to malnutrition.
