Büyütech was founded in 2011 by METU graduate computer engineer Ömer Orkun Düztaş and electrical-electronics engineer Alparslan Işıklı. The company stands out as Turkey’s first and only local, high-tech camera design and production company.
Büyütech’s product range includes current products such as rear view camera, surround view system, driver fatigue detection camera, front and rear ADAS camera, as well as future-oriented products such as side mirror camera, thermal camera and Podar.
The company received investment from Farplas Automotive, one of Turkey’s leading automotive companies, in 2022 and established Turkey’s first automotive-grade camera factory. In addition, Büyütech, which started production for Togg, produced 90 thousand cameras by 2023 and increased its production performance, reaching a total production of around 350 thousand cameras.
Goal: Becoming a Global Player
Büyütech CEO Ömer Orkun Düztaş states that the company develops high-quality camera-based solutions for the automotive sector. The company’s goal is to create safe transportation conditions by enabling vehicles to perceive the world like humans.
Büyütech plans to expand into European countries and the US market. The company aims to achieve its goal of becoming a global player with its new investment round.
Investments and Pre-IPO Situation
Büyütech reached a value of 10 million euros with an investment of 2.5 million euros in 2021. In 2023, it received an investment of 4 million 230 thousand dollars and its value increased to 28 million 230 thousand dollars. The company plans to reach a fund of 10 million dollars before its IPO target.
Büyütech operates in METU Technopolis and Informatics Valley with more than 80 personnel. The company targets a turnover of 350 million euros by 2030.
