Agricultural School and Atalık Seed Center Opens
Since it is the district with the most agricultural land in the center of Buca, Buca Municipality decided to open the Agricultural School and Atalık Seed Center. Buca Mayor Görkem Duman stated that the project aims to revitalize the agricultural culture by providing training in the field of agricultural production.
Ancient Agricultural Culture Will Be Revitalized
Buca Mayor Görkem Duman emphasized that agriculture has been at the center of life in Buca from past to present and stated that they will protect Buca’s rich agricultural past and revitalize its agricultural culture with the Agricultural School project. Within the scope of the project, agricultural training will be provided to everyone from children to adults.
What to Do?
- Scientific agricultural methods will be explained to children and young people, and traditional production tools will be introduced.
- Adults will be given pruning, agricultural irrigation, feeding and vaccination training by experts and academicians.
- Atalık Seed Center will be established and special studies will be carried out for the sustainability of local seeds.
