Boyga, which entered the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces in 2022, plays an active role in the fight against terrorism, cross-border operations and international exercises. Finally, Boyga, who took part in the EFES-2024 Exercise, proved his success by hitting the determined targets with full accuracy.
STM General Manager Özgür Güleryüz stated that Boyga’s advanced engineering capabilities tactical mini UAV family, which has been added to the inventory of the Turkish army, is a pioneer in the international arena. STM first provided the rotary wing national strike UAV Kargu to the Turkish Armed Forces in 2018 and later exported it to more than 10 countries. It then developed and exported other UAVs such as Togan and Alpagu.
Güleryüz announced that they made the first international sale of Boyga, which was provided to the Turkish army, to an African country. STM achieved significant success by successfully exporting to all members of the tactical mini UAV family. Güleryüz emphasized that UAVs are a game-changing element in the field and stated that Boyga is difficult to detect by the enemy with its national and original software.
Boyga has features that can be used effectively in counter-terrorism and asymmetric warfare environments. Boyga, which can stay in the air for 30 minutes, can reach a maximum flight altitude of 3,000 meters and operate at a range of 10 kilometers. It is easily transportable with a weight of 17 kilograms, and has the ability to drop customized 81-millimeter mortar ammunition on the target with full accuracy. The ammunition system integration is carried out in cooperation with MKE.
