Speaking at a press conference held in the Parliament, Bekin harshly criticized Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz’s words towards President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Bekin repeated Katz’s statements verbatim, emphasizing that Israel will definitely be held accountable for its brutality.
Bekin stated that the New Welfare Party has never deviated from the line of rights, justice and legitimacy in the Palestinian issue, and drew attention to the importance of seeking solutions within the framework of international law. He said that efforts were being made on international platforms to ban Israel from the Olympic Games to be held in Paris due to the massacres in Gaza.
Bekin also reacted to President Erdoğan’s words targeting him and his party, stating that they were against criticisms made beyond the limits of politeness. Bekin emphasized that the will of the nation should be respected and invited Erdoğan to criticize within the framework of politeness.
