An introductory meeting was held for the 5th Balıkesir Aromatherapy Festival, which will be held in Burhaniye district of Balıkesir under the coordination of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality. The festival will be held between July 4-7 with the participation of Ayvalık, Burhaniye, Edremit and Gömeç Municipalities.
Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Akın stated that the theme of the festival will be “History, Healing, Culture” and emphasized the importance of natural beauty and aromatherapy. Akın stated that Balıkesir is an ideal geography for aromatherapy with its rich vegetation and natural beauty.
Stating that Balıkesir Aromatherapy Festival is an event aimed at balancing health and soul with the use of oils obtained from the essences of plants, Akın stated that the festival aims to increase the production and marketing of the region’s herbal products.
Akın stated that more than 80 workshops, seminars and talks will be held in 2 different centers for 4 days within the scope of the festival, and that there will also be nearly 200 stands in Ören Square.

At the press conference held with the participation of Edremit Mayor Mehmet Ertaş, Ayvalık Mayor Mesut Ergin, Burhaniye Mayor Ali Kemal Deveciler and Gömeç Mayor Melih Bağcı, it was emphasized that the festival will strengthen regional cooperation.
