Attack Before Pakistan Independence Day

Pakistan Bağımsızlık Günü Öncesi Saldırı

Ahead of Pakistan’s Independence Day, which is celebrated tomorrow, unidentified motorcyclists attacked a shop in the Quetta district of Balochistan province. The attackers attacked the shop selling Pakistani flags with a hand grenade, creating a major security concern, local officials said.

As a result of the attack, one person lost his life and six others sustained various injuries. The Media Coordinator of the Ministry of Health of Balochistan, Wasim Baig, said that the injured were taken to the hospital and two of them were in critical condition. This sad incident has created fear and anxiety among the people on the eve of the Independence Day celebrations.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Authorities are continuing their efforts to identify the attackers and ensure security.
