While Real Madrid and Barcelona faced each other in a friendly match held in America, our national football player Arda Güler and Turkish-German football player İlkay Gündoğan competed on the field. The match ended with Barcelona leading 2-1.
After the match, İlkay Gündoğan was enjoying the victory while complaining to Arda Güler, who lost, which drew attention on social media. A video of the two chatting after the match went viral. In this video, İlkay Gündoğan said the following words to Arda Güler, referring to one of his own teammates: “He’s not using his brain, he needs to use his brain. 19-year-old young talent Arda Güler managed to stay on the field throughout the 2-1 defeat and made an important contribution by assisting his team’s only goal. İlkay Gündoğan entered the match in the 77th minute, replacing Marc Bernal.
Real Madrid’s only goal was scored by Nico Paz in the 82nd minute with an assist from Arda, while Barcelona’s goals were scored by Pau Victor in the 42nd and 54th minutes.
