A study conducted in Austria revealed that mild shock waves applied after bypass surgery can regenerate patients’ heart tissue. In the study led by Professor Johannes Holfeld from the Medical University of Innsbruck, it was observed that the hearts of patients receiving the new treatment were able to pump more blood and walk longer distances. This innovative treatment method shows promise in the treatment of heart diseases.
