Ambulance Accident in Islahiye: 3 Healthcare Workers Injured
As a result of a traffic accident, an ambulance carrying healthcare personnel collided with a truck. The ambulance was reduced to scrap metal as a result of the collision, while healthcare workers Burçin K. (27), Kevser K. (25) and the driver Ali G. were slightly injured. Police and support healthcare teams were immediately dispatched to the scene upon the notification of those who witnessed the accident.
Health teams arriving at the scene provided first aid to their injured colleagues. Afterwards, the injured health workers were taken to Islahiye State Hospital by ambulance and treated. Afterwards, the injured were carefully assessed and transferred to Gaziantep City Hospital. According to the information received, it was learned that the general health of the injured was good.
Eyewitness Describes Moment of Accident
Speaking about the accident, eyewitness MA (32) described the moment of the incident as follows: “The truck was traveling on this road and could not keep to the right path and crossed into the other lane. The ambulance coming from behind hit the truck from behind. I don’t think the truck is at fault.” The necessary investigation has been launched regarding the accident.
