It was claimed that the Turkish Football Federation covered the expenses of 613 guests, excluding the National Team delegation, at the 2024 European Championship held in Germany. Allegedly, while other countries’ federations only cover the expenses of their own teams, TFF is stated to be covering the expenses of 613 guests.
Details on the Guest List
It is stated that only 36 of the 613 people on the guest list are journalists and the rest were selected from various categories. It is stated that some of the guests invited by TFF will have a match of their choice and their accommodation and travel expenses will be covered, and these guests will return to Istanbul on June 19.
Delegates and Board Members
According to the lawsuit, it is noteworthy that there are no junior national team coaches among the names whose expenses will be covered in Euro 2024. It is also claimed that the families and assistants of TFF board members were also taken to Germany. It is stated that a significant portion of the guests are delegates who will vote in the TFF elections.
Statement Regarding the Allegations is Expected: So far, there has been no official statement on the subject from either the Turkish Football Federation or the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Also noteworthy is the removal of the information form on TFF’s official website.
