Algerian Foreign Ministry Statement on the Attack
The Algerian Foreign Ministry condemned the attack on Yemen in a statement made on its official website. The statement said, “Algeria strongly condemns the obvious Zionist attack on brother Yemen.” It was stated that the attack was part of the strategy of the Zionist entity, which aims to spread throughout the region and divert the attention of the international community from other issues.
The statement emphasized that Israel continues its defiance despite condemnations from international judicial and criminal bodies and the world at large, and that the international community must fulfill its responsibilities. It was stated that Israel must be held accountable and punished for its crimes.
It was reported that the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen, in response to Israel’s attacks in Gaza, seized commercial ships off the coast of Yemen that they claimed belonged to Israeli companies and carried out attacks on some ships. In particular, the drone attack on Tel Aviv and the airstrike on the Port of Hudaydah were mentioned. It was shared that 1 person was killed and many people were injured in the Tel Aviv attack.
A call was made to the international community regarding Israel’s attacks against the Houthis and the increasing tension in Yemen, emphasizing that Israel’s occupation policies should be questioned and those responsible should be punished.
