While Galatasaray has been struggling with financial difficulties recently, bad news has come from Germany. According to the news in the German press, the Hannover 96 club has complained about the red-yellow team to FIFA.
It has been alleged that Galatasaray, who loaned Derrick Köhn with a mandatory purchase option of 3.35 million euros during the last season’s transfer period, did not pay the transfer fee. Hannover 96’s general manager Martin Kind said, “Galatasaray did not pay Derrick Köhn’s transfer fee. The money did not come to our account. We have initiated legal action.”
Derrick Köhn played in 15 matches for Galatasaray this season, scoring 1 goal and making 2 assists.
Galatasaray’s FIFA Lawsuits Continue
In addition to this incident, it was recalled that another Galatasaray player, Tete, was also sued by FIFA due to a dispute with Shaktar Donetsk over “unfair contract termination”. As a result of this case, FIFA ruled that Shaktar Donetsk should be paid 2.5 million euros in compensation.
