The stubble fire that occurred in Şırnak’s İdil district started again under the influence of the wind after being taken under control in the evening. The fire continues to affect 7 surrounding villages. Villagers and firefighters intervened in the fire that broke out yesterday morning on the Syrian border of İdil district and it was taken under control in the evening. However, under the influence of the wind, the fire flared up again and quickly grew, affecting the surrounding villages.
İdil Municipality officials, in their statement on the subject, said, “The stubble fire, which spread rapidly due to the wind coming from the Syrian border, negatively affected 7 villages in İdil district. After receiving the news of the fire, the municipal fire brigade reached the scene with the necessary vehicles and personnel and started firefighting efforts. Border “Cizre Municipality and Silopi Municipality teams also support the fire extinguishing operation continuing along the line.”
