A gun and knife fight broke out between two groups of relatives in the Orta Anadolu Industrial Site in the Hamidiye District of Karaman at night. 2 people were injured in the fight.
The beginning of the incident was a verbal argument between people named YY and OY for an unknown reason. As the argument escalated, other relatives also got involved. The situation became even more complicated when the person named ED hit GD with his truck.
A person named YD shot ED, who hit his father, in his left leg with a gun. Meanwhile, SD was injured in his right hand with a knife. Upon notice, medical teams and police were dispatched to the scene. The injuries were taken to Karaman Training and Research Hospital and received treatment.
Police teams detained those involved in the fight after calming them down, and as a result of the searches, they seized 1 gun, 1 shotgun, 680 loaded cartridges and a rotary knife. The crime scene investigation team also made detailed examinations on the street.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the incident. Fights between relatives groups in Karaman are closely followed by security forces.
